As a member, you will benefit from these referrals. A larger volume of referrals will give you more flexibility to choose the clients you want to see. Your decisions can be based on a variety of factors including whether or not you want to deal with managed care, whether or not you decide to accept the insurance the client has, whether the client can afford your fee in cash, etc. More referrals ALWAYS mean more options for you. More referrals also equals greater job security.

Work with a family of therapists:

We are a group of professionals dedicated . As members of GLITSE therapists no longer have to feel isolated or like they are working in a vacuum. In many ways we hope to be an extended family which not only provides income-generating security, but also a natural group atmosphere where therapists can share ideas, meet new therapists, develop supervision /consultation groups, and make strides to care for those in the gay and lesbian community.

Therapists are trained in therapy, not business:

Therapists were not trained in the business of building their practice. They, for the most part, would rather pay someone else to generate their referrals so that they can focus on providing therapy. GLITSE helps therapists control the business end of their practice. Referrals are the bread and butter of any private practice. Without referrals, a private practice will die.
